Member: American Immigration Lawyers Association. Chairman, Washington Chapter, Association of Immigration and Nationality Lawyers (AILA), 1980-1981. Guest lecturer on asylum and refugee law, Georgetown University Law School, 1992-1996; at paralegal training session and on asylum practice, 2000. Member since inception of AILA Mentor Program, providing substantive and strategic guidance to AILA members nationwide in areas of asylum, business and family petitions, and removal hearings.

Recent cases include successful asylum applications for victims of religious and political persecution in Pakistan, Burma, Iran, Ethiopia, and Nigeria and approval of complex labor certifications and petitions for multi-national managers/executives. Extensive experience in deportation and removal cases, including asylum, suspension, cancellation, and opposition to government’s use of secret evidence in removal and bond proceedings.
